Interstate 30
How long is I-30?
Interstate 30 is one of the smaller east-west interstates. It spans approximately 366 miles across the states of Arkansas and Texas. Its small size is due to its limited purpose of connecting Little Rock to Dallas.
Where does it end?
As noted above, I-30's only current use is to connect Little Rock to Dallas and also I-40 to I-20. Its eastern end is in Little Rock, where it merges into I-40. Its western end is in Dallas, where it merges into I-20.

When was I-30 started and completed?
Construction on the highway officially began in 1953, and the first piece connected Dallas to Fort Worth. I-30 completed in construction in 1971.
What states does I-30 travel through?
Being just a few hundred miles long, it only travels through two states. These include:
- Arkansas
- Texas

Several major and exciting cities lie along the I-40 corridor. These include:
- Little Rock, Arkansas
- Dallas, Texas
It also runs approximately 30 miles south of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
